CVS Pharmacy and the American Dental Association (ADA) have announced a 3-year initiative that gives dental care products that have received the ADA Seal of Acceptance, including mouth rinses and toothbrushes, premium placement and promotion. Consumers visiting a CVS store will also be provided with oral health information and encouraged to visit the dentist through ADA's Find-A-Dentist online resource. A series of programs will be rolled out in CVS stores over the next 3 years. The program will launch with a full-page ad in the January 28 CVS circular. Store signage promoting oral health information and ADA seal products will go on display in March; and seasonally themed programs to connect oral health with specific seasons, holidays, and health awareness months will start this summer. "Combining efforts to reach patients and customers with credible information about the quality of OTC dental health products is exciting news," said ADA president Joseph Crowley. "The ADA is a trusted source for information concerning oral health and oral health products. CVS is a company that has taken seriously its role to improve the overall health of their customer and client base."
