Publix Pharmacy announces new program to provide affordable medication

Publix Pharmacy announced this week a new program to provide up to a 90-day supply of many commonly prescribed generic drugs for $7.50. Under the program, 29 generic drugs with a total of 85 dosage options are available. The price is the same regardless of a patient's insurance coverage, the company said. According to Publix, by providing price transparency on medications, patients will be better able to anticipate out-of-pocket costs, making them more likely to take their medications as directed.
